These photos were taken on May 28th, 2011.  Rangeton Park is a beautiful site located just North of Entwistle (toward Mayerthorpe) about 1.5 hours drive from Edmonton, depending upon how easily you can get out of town and how fast you drive.

This is the road into the Park

There's plenty of camping and parking area at the upper part of the Park

Here's the first structure that will serve as our Main Gate

The main camping area and other facilities are in the Pembina River Valley down a short,
but somewhat steep, hill

The central field

When we visited a volunteer crew and some very skillful wood workers were adding
an extension onto the already massive and beautiful stage

This open air cook shack will provide shelter from the sun (or anything else
coming out of the sky) and serve as the location for the Saturday afternoon Potluck

There is plenty of camping space and room for frisbee throwing and cartwheeling

There are two enclosed cook shacks

This is the inside of the other cook shack located closer to the River

There are permanent outhouse structures throughout the Park

McBain heartily approves of the new Rangeton Park site for Sasquatch !

There will be plenty of high quality firewood

and there's even a water pump

But, you'll need to boil the water if you want to drink it
(best to bring your own drinking water)

Rangeton Park is run by a non-profit organization and relies upon
volunteer for its upkeep

They are very friendly people and we are grateful for the welcome that they have extended

There are swings

and a playground

Here's the trail to the River (looking up from the River)

and the Pembina River !

we're told that by late-July the River will have gone down quite a bit and there should be
a large shoal in middle and some wonderful sandy beaches on the banks - Oh Hut !
Thanks to Tim Folkmann and Michael Hutchinson for coming out for the visit !
